Austin ratifies FIFA World Cup police interlocal with Houston

The Austin City Council is asked to ratify an interlocal agreement under which the City of Houston will reimburse Austin for law enforcement services provided by Austin Police during 2026 FIFA World Cup events. The reimbursement will follow a cost recovery model funded through Houston's FIFA World Cup grant program.
