The State Coastal Conservancy approved the transfer of three state-owned Pedro Point Headlands parcels to the National Park Service, free of cost, for long-term management and public access as part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The transfer will occur in two phases, aligned with the construction of the California Coastal Trail segment. This fulfills a multi-decade objective for habitat conservation and trail connectivity.
