In 2015, Lake Moultrie Construction Company Inc, DBA Lake Moultrie Water Company, as part of a joint venture, was awarded a $538,000 contract to relocate the East End flushing channel on Kiawah Island and move 100,000 cubic yards of sand, protecting the Ocean Course driving range from erosion. The project constructed a new inlet and closure dike to restore natural sand transport.
