Sylva to join countywide public safety district MOU

The Town of Sylva is slated to join Jackson County and neighboring towns in a four-year Memorandum of Understanding to participate in a countywide Public Safety Service District for fire, ambulance, and rescue services. Sylva will receive base-funded fire protection while retaining the option to provide enhancement funds for additional facilities or services.
