Interlocal Agreement with Volusia County for Sand Removal

The Board will consider approving a one-year Interlocal Agreement with Volusia County for continued removal of beach-compatible sand from DMMA V-26 after the 2026 hurricane season. Volusia County will use the sand for beach nourishment and perform gopher tortoise survey and relocation at no cost to the District, while the District will handle post-project repairs and fencing.
