Initial term runs August 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, with an evaluation of effectiveness and a decision on renewal required before June 30, 2027. Any wage increases upon renewal are limited to the current hourly pay rate for the officer under the collective bargaining agreement between the Village of Lansing and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 218. If renewed beyond June 30, 2027, the agreement remains in effect until terminated by mutual written agreement, for cause after 30-day cure, or for convenience with 60 days’ written notice.
