San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District staff recommend continued participation in the Sites Reservoir Project by executing a Second Amendment to the 2019 Reservoir Project Agreement with the Sites Project Authority and paying a $2,140,000 Phase 2 tranche in FY 2020-21. The action maintains Valley District’s 21,400 acre‑foot per year Class 1 participation in this off‑stream storage project, which is expected to provide cost‑effective supplemental supplies using existing State Water Project infrastructure.
