The Northwest Seaport Alliance approved an interlocal agreement with the University of Washington for a ten‑month AI camera pilot at the North Intermodal Yard, under which UW will reimburse NWSA up to $9,500 for installation and removal costs. The project will deploy edge‑AI camera technology to collect safety and operational data on rail crossings, track usage, and collision or near‑miss events.
