The City of Olympia entered into an Interlocal Agreement with Thurston County effective July 8, 2025 for the County to provide municipal judicial services through December 2026, with operating costs of approximately $2.702 million and one-time start-up costs of $736,000. On April 14, 2026, the City Council approved an amendment adding $496,937 for additional security and citation/infraction management staff, and the parties will negotiate a new agreement to begin January 1, 2027.
