La Grange to provide School Resource Officer under cost-share deal

School District to pay 65% of total salary and costs for all benefits of the School Resource Officer, including healthcare, pension, overtime related to SRO services, and paid leave costs

Agreement term begins July 1, 2026 and runs one year, automatically renewing annually for successive July 1–June 30 periods unless terminated by either party. The Village may terminate with 60 days’ written notice and the School District may terminate with six months’ written notice; Section III (digital camera access) may be terminated separately on 30 days’ notice. Cost-sharing and indemnification provisions survive termination, and the parties must meet in odd-numbered years starting in 2027 to review the relationship.
