Lake Worth Drainage District is set to approve a Memorandum of Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation for the Atlantic Avenue widening project and associated L-34 Canal modifications. The agreement includes surplus and sale of about 3.57 acres of canal right-of-way, canal realignment with bulkhead walls, and transfer of certain maintenance responsibilities to FDOT over a project term of up to ten years.
