Routt County is reviewing a Special Use Permit and associated waterbody crossing for Oldcastle SW Group, Inc. dba United Companies to expand the Hayden Gravel Pit with a new mining pod and internal haul road while continuing processing in the existing pit area. The 10‑year permit would govern gravel extraction, processing, asphalt and concrete production, stockpiling, and reclamation on a 161‑acre permit area south of US 40 near Hayden.
