Lake County to administer unified VPSD fire assessment

Fruitland Park approved an interlocal agreement with Lake County for administration of Villages Public Safety Department fire service special assessments starting October 1, 2026. Lake County will expand its Villages Fire District assessment area, levy the unified assessment, and remit net collections to the District on behalf of all participating jurisdictions.
