American Heart Association funds PPS cardiac readiness effort

Pittsburgh Public Schools entered into a three-year collaboration agreement with the American Heart Association, Inc., under which AHA will provide $10,000 along with CPR training kits, educational materials, and support for AED deployment and a Cardiac Emergency Response Plan at four high schools. The funding is intended to strengthen cardiac arrest preparedness and education in high-risk communities by December 31, 2026.
