Chemung County and the Sheriff have negotiated a 2026–2028 Memorandum of Agreement with the Chemung County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association Patrol Division, covering wages, benefits, and working conditions. The agreement provides 6% annual raises, revised comp time rules, a temporary sick leave retirement incentive, and adjusted health insurance contributions. Final effectiveness is contingent on union ratification and legislative approval.
