The City of Grand Rapids accepted a $135,000 FEMA Hazard Mitigation grant administered by the Michigan State Police Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division, with a $45,000 City match, to fund hydrology, hydraulic analysis, and preliminary engineering for Indian Mill Creek flood mitigation projects. The work will include both engineering assessments and community engagement to protect residents and critical infrastructure along the corridor.
