City Asked To Consent To Duke Energy Utility Merger

Duke Energy Progress LLC requests that the City of Boiling Spring Lakes consent to an internal reorganization under which Duke Energy Progress will be merged into Duke Energy Carolinas, with Duke Energy Carolinas assuming all rights and obligations under the March 4, 2025 electric franchise agreement. The City is asked to acknowledge the substitution, release Duke Energy Progress from post‑2026 obligations, and confirm that all other agreement terms remain unchanged.
