Johns Creek Plans Jail Services IGA With Forsyth County

Johns Creek staff recommends entering into an intergovernmental agreement with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and Forsyth County for housing City inmates at the Forsyth County Jail. The City would pay a $65,000 annual base fee plus per-inmate book-in and daily charges, with an initial term from July 1 to September 30, 2026 and automatic annual renewals thereafter for up to 50 years. The agreement covers all standard jail services for individuals arrested by Johns Creek Police or sentenced by the municipal court.
