The City of Newburgh Council authorized an agreement with the New York State Municipal Workers’ Compensation Alliance for workers’ compensation insurance and claims management services from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027. The two-year contribution is approximately $2.19 million plus state assessments, totaling an estimated $2.25 million. The agreement enrolls the City as a member of the Comp Alliance self-insurance fund with associated obligations and services.
