SoLAcc Cooperative Lease with Iberia Parish Schools

The Louisiana Community & Technical College System Board is considering authorization of a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between South Louisiana Community College and the Iberia Parish School Board to continue the lease and ratify past use of the educational facility at 609 Ember Drive in New Iberia. The agreement, subject to state procurement approval, would run through December 31, 2029 with automatic five-year renewals and allow SoLAcc to fund facility renovations from self-generated revenues while maintaining current operating cost levels.

Original CEA effective January 1, 1998 had a five-year term with automatic five-year renewals. The new CEA will have no term limits on renewals, will automatically renew for successive five-year terms through at least December 31, 2029, and may be terminated if SoLAcc provides notice of its intent to discontinue use or if other circumstances require termination under applicable law.
