The City of Birmingham is entering into a real estate purchase agreement with The Community House Association to acquire the Community House property at 380 S. Bates Street for $5.2 million, including a $100,000 earnest money deposit. The transaction, contingent on bankruptcy court approval and due diligence, will transfer the building, equipment, name, and related assets to a new city-controlled nonprofit for continued community use.
