Council approved a two-year, $220,000 pilot using Acti-Zyme Products Ltd.’s granular enzyme treatment for the City’s wastewater treatment lagoons and collection system, funded by reallocating Desludging Reserve dollars. The project will evaluate whether enzyme treatment can reduce nutrients, sludge and maintenance needs.
