County Approves ErieNet Dark Fiber & Managed Services Deal

The Legislature authorized a multi-term agreement with ErieNet Local Development Corporation for dark fiber IRU leases and managed network services to connect 72 county facilities, replacing existing Verizon services. The contract includes more than $2.25 million in upfront equipment costs and is projected to save the county about $6.2 million over the first five-year term.
