Nipigon District Memorial Hospital and the Township of Nipigon entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to provide emergency shelter at the Nipigon Community Centre in the event of a hospital evacuation. This agreement takes effect December 16, 2025, and will be reviewed and renewed annually as needed.
