Initial membership term is three years from October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2029. After completing the three-year commitment, the member may terminate effective at the end of a plan year by providing at least eight months’ written notice (on or before February 1) prior to withdrawal; otherwise membership continues. A withdrawing member that defaults on term or notice owes a contractual penalty based on participant counts and the lowest-cost employee-only contribution for the upcoming plan year. A terminated member may not rejoin EBG for three years and will be treated as a new member upon return.
