The State Coastal Conservancy approved a grant of up to $597,000 to the City of Arcata to develop a coastal resilience and habitat restoration plan for Jolly Giant Creek and Butcher Slough, as well as to complete 30% designs and environmental review. The grant will support efforts to reduce flooding and improve habitats in Arcata neighborhoods.
