The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment engaged Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory to support its statewide synthetic turf study with sample collection, emission testing, and laboratory analysis of air and crumb rubber. LBNL developed and implemented field and laboratory protocols, including bioaccessibility measurements, to characterize chemical exposures on synthetic turf fields.
