Description

Grand Traverse County continues an ongoing engagement with Machin Engineering to investigate and design structural repairs for the Government Center after significant corrosion was discovered. The firm is currently working on an hourly basis through the June 3, 2026 Board meeting and will later provide bid documents and cost estimates for prioritized repairs under a lump sum not-to-exceed arrangement. The Board has authorized proceeding with Priority 1 and Priority 2 repairs and will coordinate repair cost sharing with the City after bids are received.
