Planned Anishinaabe tribal consulting engagement

The Birmingham Museum plans to engage an Anishinaabe tribal consultant during the 2026–2028 project period to identify native plants and develop culturally authentic Indigenous interpretive content for new QR-coded installations along the Rouge River and trails. The consulting engagement will support both garden and trail components of the museum’s Indigenous Interpretation of Native Plants initiative.
