The Township of Billings approved a 2026–2027 fire communication services agreement with the Ontario Minister of Health, under which the Sudbury Central Ambulance Communications Centre provides call taking and alerting services. The Township will pay per-call and population-based fees plus an annual administrative fee for the 11‑month term from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027.

Base term is April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027. The Agreement may be renewed for a further one-year term upon the Township giving six months written notice and at least 90 days prior notice of intent to renew, with costs to be mutually agreed. Fees for subsequent years are negotiated annually, failing which the Agreement terminates automatically on February 1 following the failed negotiations.
