Bishop Fire District Enters Shared Fire Services JPA

The Bishop Fire Protection District approved a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Bishop to jointly manage and deliver fire, medical, and other emergency services through the Bishop Fire Department. Under the agreement, the District shares operating costs based on a codified cost apportionment plan and assumes defined property and liability insurance responsibilities. The new agreement supersedes the prior 2019 shared management JPA and continues until terminated by withdrawal or mutual consent.
