Five-Year Ecological Management Pact with IDNR Approved

The Forest Preserve District of Will County approved Resolution No. 26-12 entering Intergovernmental Agreement No. 26-05 with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and the Illinois Nature Preserves Commission to cooperatively manage and restore 1,179 acres in the Braidwood-Wilmington Sands Area. IDNR will provide technical support and contribute up to $100,000 over five years toward restoration at Wilmington Shrub Prairie, reimbursing the District for approved work.
