City Pursues Solar PPA With Madison Energy

Charlottesville plans to use Fairfax County’s cooperative solar purchase agreement to contract with Madison Energy Infrastructure for long-term power purchase agreements at Charlottesville High School and Charlottesville Middle School. The PPAs would finance, install, and operate rooftop solar arrays with the City purchasing electricity over an approximately 25-year term at a negotiated rate.
