The Southwest Florida Water Management District is considering approval of a FARMS cost-share agreement with Four Mile Grade LLC for up to $689,392 over a six-year term to build a reservoir and convert to more efficient irrigation on 140 acres of sod in DeSoto County. The project will reduce Upper Floridan aquifer groundwater withdrawals and nitrogen loading through alternative water supplies, automation, and fertigation.
