Metro Schools Retains Firm For Superintendent Search

Minimum fee $60,000.00; 30% of first year’s cash compensation if salary exceeds $200,000.00; secondary placements at 10% of first year’s cash compensation with $25,000.00 minimum; $30,000.00 initial retainer plus scheduled invoices of $12,500.00 on May 1, 2026, $12,500.00 on June 1, 2026, and $5,000.00 upon verbal acceptance of job offer; direct expenses estimated at 10–15% of search fee, billed as incurred

PROFESSIONAL_SERVICES

Primary superintendent search through successful placement or mutual agreement to end engagement; guarantee period of 12 months for primary placement; secondary placement clause effective during search and for 90 days after its conclusion

The engagement continues until a successful superintendent candidate is placed or both parties mutually agree to end the engagement. The primary placement is guaranteed for 12 months, during which The K12 Search Group will rerun the search at no additional search fee if the candidate quits or is terminated for reasons that should have been uncovered in vetting, with certain terminations excluded. Secondary placement provisions apply during the search and for 90 days after its conclusion, including adjusted fees if a secondary hire is terminated for cause within six months.
