Mentor Council gave first reading to an ordinance to enter a $1.2-million professional services agreement with SmithGroup Architects and Landscape Architects, PLLC for initial engineering and design of the Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve shoreline protection plan. The first-phase contract would cover data collection, coastal and stormwater engineering, and partial final design over 12–16 months.
