Duke Energy Carolinas LLC will become the contracting utility for the City of Boiling Spring Lakes’ March 4, 2025 electric franchise agreement, assuming all rights and obligations from Duke Energy Progress LLC effective January 1, 2027. The City is requested to consent to the substitution and confirm that the agreement’s remaining terms remain in force.
