Description
The City of Central council approved Amendment No. 1 to its City Services contract with the Institute for Building Technology and Safety (IBTS), revising service scopes, fee structures, and office/holiday provisions while maintaining the existing July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2028 term. The amendment, effective July 1, 2026, is expected to generate an estimated annual benefit of $795,769.55 for the city by reducing payments to IBTS in lieu of lease costs for City Hall space. The resolution passed unanimously at the April 28, 2026 council meeting.
