Fort Bend Sheriff Signs 287(g) Jail Enforcement MOA With ICE

Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office entered into a 287(g) Jail Enforcement Model Memorandum of Agreement with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement effective May 28, 2025, delegating limited immigration enforcement authority to selected jail personnel. ICE provides training, IT infrastructure support, and certain travel costs, while the county covers salaries, benefits, and operational supplies under this ongoing agreement.
