The Beloit City Council approved a Resolution authorizing an agreement with POW Solar, LLC for the development and preliminary procurement activities for a major solar and battery storage project, with an estimated cost of $10.9 million and a not-to-exceed $100,000 budget for project development services. The contract also allows for the early order of two 2 MVA transformers up to $250,000 if needed for Investment Tax Credit purposes. Construction is expected to follow after the development phase and final agreements.
