Description

Orange County currently maintains a long-term interlocal agreement with the Town of Chapel Hill for municipal tax billing and collection at a 0.5% fee. County staff plan to negotiate amendments by July 1, 2026 to better recover costs and possibly move to a standalone agreement with a shorter term.
