UMass Boston to lead downtown planning studio

The Town of Franklin Economic Development Subcommittee is partnering with the University of Massachusetts Boston’s Urban Planning and Community Development department for a two-semester planning studio to envision a revitalized downtown Franklin. Graduate students, under faculty supervision, will provide research, public engagement, and conceptual plans from fall 2026 through spring 2027.
