Hamilton County Schools will finance up to $5 million of its district-wide LED lighting upgrade through a 10.5-year, low-interest loan from the Energy Efficient Schools Initiative. The EESI financing supports the $6.2 million project with Excel Energy Group and is incorporated into the FY26 operating budget amendment.
