City renews CAL FIRE wildland protection agreement

The City of Shasta Lake will execute a Wildland Fire Protection Agreement with CAL FIRE to provide supplemental wildland fire protection over 3,999 acres within city limits for FY 2026–2027, at a contract amount of about $213,186.69. The agreement enhances initial attack resources to reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfires affecting city electric infrastructure and surrounding areas.
