The Board will approve a contract with the State of California Department of State Hospitals to continue the Jail Based Competency Treatment Program in an amount not to exceed $2,732,063 for one year, with authority to extend and increase the contract by up to 10% annually for two additional years. The program provides in-custody restoration services for incompetent-to-stand-trial defendants.
