County Renews GDC Inmate Housing Agreement for FY 2027

Harris County plans to renew its intergovernmental agreement with the Georgia Department of Corrections to house up to 160 state offenders at the county prison at a rate of $30 per inmate per day from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. The Board will authorize the Chair, County Manager, and County Clerk to execute the necessary documents.
