Original contract awarded in 2018 after a 2017 RFQ. First amendment in June 2019 converted single stream to dual stream recycling; second amendment in October 2022 converted dual stream back to single stream. The agreement has been extended by four additional years, including two one-year mutually agreed extensions, now expiring January 2027. As of June 15, 2026, the Board is considering an additional three-year amendment with a fuel adjustment clause and up to 3% annual rate escalators.
