City Continues Meridian Waste Contract Extension Talks

The City of Lake Saint Louis continued negotiations with Meridian Waste, its incumbent solid waste collection provider since 2018, regarding an amendment and extension of the existing contract beyond its current January 2027 expiration. Officials discussed a three-year 3-3-3 structure including a fuel surcharge/de-escalation mechanism and up to 3% annual rate increases, alongside existing all-you-can-throw, recycling, and yard waste services.
