Elmhurst pursues six-year green electric aggregation renewal

The City of Elmhurst continues to use Northern Illinois Municipal Electric Collaborative (NIMEC) as its aggregation consultant for renewal of the municipal Electric Aggregation Program, structured to match ComEd rates while purchasing additional Green-e Certified renewable energy certificates. The proposed six-year agreement includes a biennial opt-out clause and is projected to offset approximately 44 million kWh annually with renewable energy.
