The City of Elgin is recommended to approve continued participation in the State of Illinois Joint Purchase Master Contract with WEX Bank for fleet fuel card services through June 27, 2029. This agreement allows the city to buy vehicle fuel via WEX’s nationwide network under state-negotiated pricing and earn a 1.5 percent rebate on monthly fuel purchases, with no separate service fee to the city.
