Schenectady Jewish Community Center has secured a $111,020 contract for the district's Universal Prekindergarten Program for the 2025-26 school year. This program will be funded through a Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) Grant from New York State that currently provides a per pupil funding allocation of $5,400, which comes out to $75,600, and the rest of the funding will come from the district's General Fund. The contract allows the JCC to work with 14 students.
